Over the Moon Baked Beans Recipe
I have worked for some time on making the perfect baked beans that don’t require soaking beans overnight. Taste these and you will think they are from scratch- great for a busy cook’s bar-b-q!!
- 1 28-oz can of homestyle baked beans (Bush's preferred)
- 3 TB. of chopped yellow onion
- 2 TB. of dark molasses
- 1 TB. of worcestershire sauce
- 2 slices of bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
- 1/2 bottle bottle (6 oz.) of Belgian White Blue Moon Beer (the cook can enjoy the rest of the bottle)
- 1/4 cup of light brown sugar
- 1/3 Cup Texas BBQ Sauce
- Salt & Pepper To Taste
- Heat oven to 400 degrees
- Combine all in a 2 quart saucepan- stir well to combine. (If desired, put all together except bacon and beer and keep cold in refrigerator until 1/2 hour prior to cooking (bring to room temperature)- then add bacon and beer- stir and go to step 3)
- Place uncovered in the heated oven and cook 40 minutes until bubbly and thick. Enjoy with your meal!
