Coconut Hot Chocolate Recipe
Swapping coconut milk for the cream is a simple alteration to our Real Deal Hot Chocolate that makes it even more indulgent.
What to buy: For this recipe, use high-end chocolate, such as El Rey 41 percent milk chocolate.
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 5 ounces good-quality milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1 tbsp carob powder
- Anise
- Butterscotch schnapps
- Combine coconut milk, milk, and anise in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until simmering, about 4 minutes.
- Add chocolate and carob and whisk until completely melted and well incorporated, about 2 minutes. Serve.
- Top with 1/2 shot of butterscotch schnapps and enjoy.
