Reuben Sandwich with a slight modification Recipe
Pastrami. Dill rye bread. sauerkraut. swiss cheese. and then offer mustard or thousand island dressing or both. A nice crisp dill pickle on the side. Great grilled sandwich. A warm german potatoe salad brings it all together on a cold afternoon or evening.
- Pastrami
- Sauerkraut Jarred not canned
- Swiss Cheese
- Dill Rye Bread
- butter/margerine of your choice
- to taste Dill Pickle, mustard of choice, thousand islands
- Grill one side of 2 breads, flip 1 bread over and add pastrami, cheese, sauerkraut and add top bread. Grill till ingredients are warm and melted. Then offer mustard or thousand islands and dressings to each eater. Serve with a crisp dill pickle and warm potatoe salad and enjoy the comfort food.
- grilling both sides of bread allows you to melt sandwich faster and adds a little more of your favorite butter or margarine.
