Winter 2007 Gift Guide
Give while the giving’s good
Gift anxiety: It’s never pleasant. Pulse racing, palms
sweating—will they like it? What if they don’t? CHOW’s
got the antidote: an assortment of gifts that will fit
your budget and please everyone. Start buying.
More Giving Goodness
When you’ve had your way with this gift guide, CHOW’s got tons more, ready for the giving and receiving.
Tasty Pleasers
These online stores supply all you need, when what you need is chocolate, wine, cheese, gift baskets, and more.
Tabloid Pleasers
Gingerbread cookies make great gifts. Nicole Richie just gives and gives.
Conscience Pleasers
Not everyone needs a tangible gift. Consider putting your dough toward a worthy charity in a friend’s name.
Little Pleasers
CHOW Picks offer small pleasures. Someone you know wants a Cadbury Ornament Creme Egg.

I bought the We Are Happy to Swerve You mug for my boss. Nice!
That tea set looks divine and those tiles are really cute.
It is nice to see a gift idea list that is stylish and affordable!
How is a plastic plate related to tree-huggers? I doubt it's plastic made from sustainable bio-materials. Blasphemy!
this artist is from Toronto - how cool to make the list on Chow!
the tile trivets that is by Xenia Taler - sorry didn't realize the comments were general
I love the zappy green wine tray, great design; it would make a lovely present. Fantastic, luminous photos; funny how they're so much better than the pictures on the companies' sites...!!
I bought the wooden planter from Wud Furniture and it is gorgeous! I filled it with fresh flowers for a dinner party I hosted and then filled it later with a dried flower arrangement...really nice! I'm getting it as a xmas gift for my sister...she'll love it!
Serving drinks (think condensation) and chopping anything (think knives) are 2 things I would never use a glass surface for. They're pretty, but I'd sooner put cheese or something that doesn't slide on them.
Great ideas. If anyone is interested in gift ideas that are more specifically socially-conscious/eco-friendly, I've put together a decent start of a green gift guide for foodies on my blog, the Garden of Eating. It's at: http://gardenofeatingblog.blogspot.co...
Feel free to suggest additional gift ideas via comments - I'd love to expand on the current list.
