I wonder if Betty realizes how much damage she's done to her business by her unprofessional and disgusting behavior on Top Chef? I can't imagine why any potential clients would give her a second look now. Not only was she outclassed talent-wise, but her inability to accept constructive criticism and her nasty, hateful behavior towards fellow contestants were, at the very least, embarassing to watch. Pathetic!

Not sure what show you watched but I think it's a bit over the top to characterize her as "disgusting...hateful...pathetic!" Yeah she committed the usual reality TV meltdown blunders but isn't that the point of watching a reality TV show? I mean jesus...if the challenge is to make fine cuisine from vending machine items...it's not exactly "reality" cooking is it? About half of what she made looked pretty damn good, certainly more edible than 90% of Michael's creations. And I'm sorry but Marcel IS annoying, and I think the fact that the other chefs seem to get along with Betty but seem to despise Marcel says more about one's professionalism in the kitchen than having an onscreen meltdown every other episode.

Actually, I half-way agree with MDS. Certainly, Betty and several other contestants have behaved in ways that make them look very petty and childish, that's logically indisputable. But, there are others who were worse. I've started to feel a bit sorry for Marcel. As much of a twit as he can be, he has not really baited anyone (as others have done repeatedly). Anyway, I think the only two adults on the show are Mike and Cliff.

Whatever Marcel has done, he has certainly not been anywhere near as malicious, petty, or unprofessional as Betty (and Ilan) were in recent episodes. There is absolutely no excuse for refusing to serve guests. And feeling annoyed or angry is NOT a good reason to behave unprofessionally. I also think Betty is lying about the Splenda, and even the judges saw through her (and Ilan's) transparent attempt to LIE about Marcel's dish ("tasteless gelee").

Why does Betty lie about splenda in the cookies? I could swear that she put splenda in the cookies and when it didn't work, she switched it out for sugar.

Or did I watch a different episode?

No amount of giggling, or honey this or sweetie that will erase the picture of Betty using disgusting lanquage, and being an over bearing wench on tv. I would not step foot in her restaurant. Ever.

Betty,
No matter what you say, the truth is out. You are a rude, digusting person who couldn't cook as well as Marcel. I wouldn't step foot in your restaurant. You and your cohorts, certainly displayed a real professionalism I wouldn't want to encounter in the kitchen or out.

Petty Betty acts like my sister-in-law, and my sister-in-law is bipolar. You could see it in her outbursts with Marcel and Carlos. She's a malicious nasty piece of work like her baby boy Ilan and she deserved to go home after the Camp Glucose challenge for cheating. I live in L.A. and as tempted as I am to try a Bada Bing Betty, I refuse to give her a dime of my hard earned cash.

I initially liked Betty during Top Chef 2 and thought she was a cute older gal that everybody loved and was bubby, put out some ok food. After that she turned into a total B****. Not only that, her inability to get along with Marcel was spread behind the scenes and I just found her to be an unforgiving, unattractive woman. Too bad, Bada-bing Betty. Bada- BOO.

Yo, woman! FYI, I'd be down with eating your chunky soups, grilled cheese, custard with burnt sugar, duck with pastry, or any of the other soulful, downhome food you'd cook up for me. Keep embracing your comfort food mentality, and make sure to invite me for some Sunday dinner!

I thought Betty was pretty cool with the minor exception that she misjudged putting chunky things in flutes.... In any event, I would eat at her restaurant or use her as a caterer in a heartbeat!

Betty sucks. Tasteless, classless, and her food is - at best - high school cafeteria food. Worst face forward in Season Two. I think she is the reason Bravo producers/execs decided to ratchet it up for this season by eliminating the personal chef element. So sad. And for the record, I am a personal chef. I hated being represented by Classless Cougar Betty.

What do you think?
