What a disappointment

I will not present myself as an expert in Asian cuisine However I do know what I like and I have been eating ethnic food in queens for 35 years so here goes.

I will not present myself as an expert in Asian cuisine However I do know what I like and I have been eating ethnic food in queens for 35 years so here goes.

After reading the reviews on southern spice I had to experience this food.

Arrived on a Friday night at 730. There were 4 people seated. Place was clean
and the service was friendly. They were very nice about allowing us to bring in a bottle of wine even tho the sign says you can’t. They provided paper cups. Oh well.

Paying close attention to the reviews this is what we ordered.

Fried peppers milagai baji Very nice
Veg. Samosa Very nice
chicken 65 Great
garlic naan Great
tandoori roti Eh
Murgh Tikka Masala 6 pcs of chicken in a soupy sauce very eh
lamb vindaloo 6 pcs of lamb in a very not spicy sauce I was expecting to be blown away by this dish My neighborhood pizza is hotter
chicken biriyani this one really sucked tasteless dark chicken pcs in a mushy tasteless gloppy mess

maybe the weekend buffet would be a better way to check this place out but overall a big let down It also made me wonder about all these posts or maybe the chef had the day off.
SAMRAT 211 hempstead tpk in west hempstead a little more $ but more comfortable much better food-COLLAPSE
