I have not tried their coffee but Thyme Cafe & Market might work, coffee, good pastries and sandwiches in a casual cafe/market. REPLY (23 Replies) (by sel, created October 25, 2010)

Agree with that! All 3 are part of my breakfast and lunch rotation! Good sandwiches and sweets at Thyme Cafe & Market. I need to try some of their salads! REPLY (24 Replies) (by sel, created August 19, 2010)

»amazing food and kind service

5 stars

i thought that the food was amazing and the chocolate chip cookies are fantastic! The service was a wonderful and whom I assume to be the owner was kind and even came over to chat with me and my friends for a second. it's definitely a nice, super clean and healthy place with friendly service and isn't too too expensive. I love it and I'll be back for sure. (by Katie Case, created February 19, 2010)

What's Hot:

1) The Key Lime Pie is one of the absolute best I have ever experienced anywhere. Perfect tartness and the freshly whipped cream on top is soothingly fluffy.

2) Delicious pannini sandwiches.

What's Not So Hot:

1) The too-dry salmon filets are topped with a salsa that is so garlic-infused you will be burping the flavor up for many, many hours after your meal.

2) The soups are way too peppery. Why do restaurants feel compelled to drown out the natural flavor of the soup with an overabundance of pepper?-COLLAPSE

Lines are long, staff roles are either non-existent or poorly understood, and the seating area needs reconfiguration so that customers waiting to pay for their orders are not co-mingling with the line for the bathroom.. One is left with the impression that this isn't just the first cafe that this proprietor has ever operated, but that no cafe has ever existed and the procedures for operating it are being invented from the ether.

The upside: you can tell they are really trying. I hope they can get their act together - Thyme Cafe could be a great neighborhood asset.-COLLAPSE

Those who find Huckleberry pricey will appreciate the affordable tarifs with my tarragon chicken salad sandwich on toasted walnut raisin bread with a small salad for $8, as well as daily specials for $7.95 that come with your choice of a combination of 1/2 sandwich, soup or salad, and one of their delicious homemade cookies. In addition to a chuncky chocolate chip cookie for $1.25, we sampled the coconut cream and carrot cupcakes, both excellent for $3.25. Other sandwiches included a Gruyere grilled cheese for $5 and steak with watercress, caramelized onions and horseradish aioli on a baguette for $9. By the time we left at 12:45pm there was a wait for tables. Quality is high here and Thyme enters the market place vying for a place along side Clementine's, Amandine, Joan's and the aforementioned Huckleberry. If today is any indication, they should have no problem getting there.
