1/24/10 - I was looking forward to Sunday breakfast. Haven’t had breakfast out in about six months, so this would be a treat! Drove to Charlie Brown's, but discovered that it has closed its doors. The suggestion was made to drive down Monroe Ave. from Culver Rd. toward Pittsford. Found Char Broil. Lots of cars in lot -- a good sign.

Wait time was okay considering it was late on a Sunday morning. Table was okay. Server was okay. But, what was NOT okay was the butter. Spread it out over the pancakes, took a bite, and YUCK! The butter was old. Tasted like it sat uncovered in the fridge for weeks. Syrup was runny, no flavor whatsoever. (Is there no benefit to living in a region with maple tree forests nearly?) Ended up trying to drown-out everything with two individually-packaged orange marmalades, the high point of the meal, thus far.
The coffee was thin-tasting & acidic – nothing that half & half could even begin to truly remedy. Home fries had yucky orange powdery seasoning dumped onto them prior to frying. Such a phony flavor. Very yucky! “Phude,” as one of my friends likes to call adulterated food. Had to use lots of catsup. Pancakes were okay, but could have easily made better at home.
All things considered, will not go back.-COLLAPSE
