Top french toast in the city right now IMO is at City Bakery. They are sometimes closed for holidays; call ahead. REPLY (22 Replies) (by kathryn, created December 21, 2011)

Hot chocolate to die for. Get the small size. It is VERY rich. They also have home made marshmallows. Yummy!!
I second kathryn's mention of the Carmelized Fench Toast. It is pricey but unique and delicious. Once again, don't get too much. It is very rich and filling.

I don't find it that gross but I often go on weekdays. The hits are the hot chocolate, pretzel croissant, and their insanely delicious French toast at brunch. The salad bar and offerings at lunch are quite tasty, too. Oh, and hot chocolate. REPLY (15 Replies) (by kathryn, created October 18, 2011)

I must agree with the other reviewer....City Bakery is not the place I travel for food/ lumch items .
I esecially enjoy the croissants and have not yet tried the hot chocolate.
