We enjoyed a truly fantastic day yesterday. We started at Jonathan Edwards for wine tasting, tour and picnic. We enjoyed the Stone Table Red as well as the Merlot. My SO also bought the Estate Chardonnay, I liked it, didn't love it. What a beautiful setting to have a picnic, got very crowded about 2:30-3:00, glad we were there earlier. For dinner we decided to go to Noah's in Stonington, had reservations for 7:30 p.m. - was sorry that as we got to the town early there was only one store open for browsing. Noah's was full, loved the atmosphere, service was attentive, helpful. SO ordered the pot roast and loved it! I started with the pumpkin soup - very thick, delicious, slightly lukewarm vs hot, but still good and the sesame scallops - good, again lukewarm but good. All in all wonderful experience. enjoyed the day out very much and would return again. Store owner we met also suggested Water Street Cafe, and anew restaurant on the water....."....Dog..." can't remember right now. Thanks again for your help!-COLLAPSE / REPLY (1 Reply)
