The burger really is as fabulous as everyone says. (by sahm2three, created January 20, 2011)

Went to The Grape on a recent trip to Dallas just for the burger. For the life of me I cannot fathom what the big deal is about. Yes, it was big, yes it was juicy, man was it hot. When I eat a burger I like to taste and savor the taste of meat, good meat, not the Asiago cheese they put on it. The rest of the menu which my wife and daughter ordered from was much better. »Quite possibly the best burger ever created!

While in Dallas on a recent trip with the wife, I had to see what all the fuss was about as this burger was named #1 Burger in Texas by Texas Monthly in 2009. The burger is a wonderful marriage of high-quality ground chuck-eye, peppered and cured on-site bacon, white cheddar cheese, Texas hydro-ponmic Bibb lettuce, Lemley tomatoes, a delicious Dijon-naise spread and a semi-sweet toasted bun. The burger is massive and requires some mashing to get the damn thing into your kisser. Dripping juices and oozing cheese create a messy, but rather enjoyful experience that I am sure is not the norm at a typical wine bistro, as The Grape is. Served with homemade fries and ketchup, order a Shiner Bock to complete the feast! Although until recently it was only served during Sunday brunch, now it is offered on Monday nights as well.-COLLAPSE (by Robert Lerma, created December 30, 2009)
