»Great French Bistro

4 stars

I love French bistro's and garcon is a welcome addition to my list of favorites! Loved their coq au vin! Service was pretty good but food was really good! parking can be challenging in that neighborhood, but bicycling helps keep the pounds off anyway. I'll be going back again! We sat in a back private room, complete with purple curtains that provided privacy for our intimate gathering of good friends. I opted for the Yelp prix fixe dinner which included an appetizer of seared dayboat scallops (well-executed), a main course of a medium rare bavette steak (perfectly cooked with a rich sauce for flavor) and then a chocolate volcano lava cake. The real treat I thought were the cocktails made by the Garcon bartender. I told him I liked frothy, citrus style drinks and he whipped up concoctions according to that description that were delightful and innovative. I plan to review those cocktails in more detail on my food blog: http:sftaoofpao.com in the next few weeks.-COLLAPSE (by sftaoofpao, created October 29, 2009)
