China Garden Restaurant

We traveled 45 minutes down to Rosslyn to enjoy the much touted Dim Sum. We arrived on a day that was not featuring cart service....so we ordered off the regular menu. The wait staff was incredibly rude and forgetful. Simple requests went unheeded, entrees came out independent of each other......the food was completely tasteless....a beer I ordered was not brought until a gentle reminder was provided......the dishes were over sauced and at one point, the waitress brought us a dish that was very similar to one that we had ordered. We started to spoon the food onto our plates when we were surprised by the waitress pulling the food from the table without explanation. Apparently this dish was placed on our table in error. Without exception the food was moderately warm or cold. When the waiter asked if the significant leftovers we had should be boxed up, we suggested the food had been less than satisfactory and that we did not want to take it anywhere. The waiter literally laughed out loud and presented us with the check. I am a Chinese food junkie, and take the opportunity to eat all Asian foods as often as possible, but this literally was the WORST meal I have ever had. When I brought my concerns to the manager, he suggested I should have mentioned it sooner so that he could have done something about it. I suggested that every single item was poorly cooked or cold, and that a substitution would not have been our choice. No offer was made to reduce the bill or to rectify the situation in any way. STAY AWAY from this restaurant.
