There just aren't words for the food that was prepared for Chef Peter Ungar, as part of a Chef's Table experience with The Dining Alternative.
The setting was similar to a dinner party, and the company was delightful. While many were strangers initially, the experience of enjoying Peter's food and wine broke the ice quickly.
The food was spectacular. I have read descriptions of his food before, and thought it may be a bit edgier than I am used to. I pledged to try everything out of trust for Peter, and I have not turned back. It was all amazing. A completely different level of food than typical.
Watching Peter work and listening to his process described with a clear passion, completed the evening. The wine pairing by a skilled sommelier topped off the night. Again, the explanations, education and passion were remarkable.-COLLAPSE

The wine pairings were spot-on and the information we received about both wine and food proved only to enhance the experience and our enjoyment of the dishes.
