I am surprised that no body mentioned the following restaurant:

Seriously the food is wonderful, and it is nestled in Hayes Valley across the street from Suppenkuche and bar Jules for nice a quiet dining experience.

The prices and menu put it mid-way between Cafe Delle Stelle and Stelline. We thought of it as an alternative to Stelline and gave it the upper hand for the setting, wine list, and more interesting ingredients. The price was very reasonable with 2 pastas and glasses of wine for less than $40 before tip.-COLLAPSE
