I tried to order what Sweth had enjoyed, but could not for the life of me remember what to say after Khao pad kaprow, and I thoroughly confused the waitress, who was really sweet. I asked what was the spicier, better of 3 appetisers and she suggested the calamari. It was battered with a pretty bland mixture and the dipping sauce only ok until I hotted it up from the chile tray. One good thing is that they brought the chile tray automatically. I have found that if a Thai cafe doesn't bring the chiles to everyone, their food is going to dumbed down Americanized Thai. But the calamari was nicely crispy without being chewy and fairly tasty.
The Khao Pad Kaprow, well, it was ok. The pork was tasty and the basil was flavorful, but there wasn't much of either of them. The dish itself was to big to finish, which is nice.
So I was thinking, as I walked out that I would go back the next time I was having my alignment done at Firestone, when I saw the staff sitting down at a big table by the exit and their dishes were phenomenal! I should have stopped and taken a picture of their food and asked for them to bring me the same next time...-COLLAPSE

I don't get to Thai Cafe nearly often enough, but it's on par w/ Thai Square and Sakulthai in terms of quality. I haven't yet been able to figure out if they have a secret Thai menu, so the offerings are a little slimmer than at the other two places, but everything is good, and they seem open to ordering "off menu", and do it well--they're one of the only places in the area where I can order a...+READ I don't get to Thai Cafe nearly often enough, but it's on par w/ Thai Square and Sakulthai in terms of quality.
