In a city saturated with an uncomfortable chic bar scene and over stylized food designer restaurants, it is refreshing to come across a dining experience with the concept of enjoying creative yet delicious cuisine in a fun and friendly environment. A self proclaimed “ultimate dinner party”, Li’ly welcomes guests to experiment with its Resto-lounge concept.

Located in the heart of Little Italy’s tourist district in Toronto, Li’ly approaches its fifth anniversary and a much anticipated new menu.

The restaurant’s theme is rooted in the multiculturalism of the area and everything from food to wine and martinis will take guests through an eclectic sensory journey.

“I see Li’ly as a destination for people looking for quality dining and full evening experience,” says owner Oscar Ferreira.

Futuristic lights overlook the stunning fifty-foot Carerra marble bar which invites guests to sip martinis and fraternize with the friendly bar staff. The walls glow with a plethora of candlelight and an abundance of exotic flower arrangements. Li’ly restaurant has a fresh and modern appeal in its aesthetics.

It’s a Friday night and a birthday celebration of six now very giggly ladies is indulging in their third round of martinis. The coveted patio table is decorated with jewel-toned libations topped with gummy worm and gooseberry garnishes. The bar is scattered with the after work crowd, ties loosened and fashionable partygoers. Dinner is in full swing as delicately arranged plates flash by en route to various dining tables. There is a buzz. By midnight the birthday party has abandoned its inhibitions and the “happy” girls are dancing the night away in the uber-sexy lounge.

On any given night you might find anything from this scene, to a product launch to a surprise birthday party. Groups of 10 to 250 can be entertained from corporate to very personal occasions.

“It’s hard work but of coarse I wouldn’t be doing this if I wasn’t having FUN! Handling all operations and day-to-day challenges has proven to be a labour of love,” quips Oscar.

“I want to create an environment to promote socializing, not intimidation. Sharing food, enjoying beautiful music with the option of chilling at your table or kicking it up in our lounge, and lots of creative influence give guests many options and ways to celebrate their evening. Going out should be a celebration.” Oscar notes.

Li’ly is the place to go dabble in the dinner party concept phenomenon. Its exciting menu and creative tails make dining fun again and on any given night you can enjoy local DJ talent and entertainment in a chic yet approachable venue. This neighborhood gem is a College Street institution. Li’ly invites guests to enjoy an evening, which facilitates the celebration of friendship and the beauty of multi cultural fusion in food and drink.
