»Good eats

Was in LA over the weekend and had the opportunity to eat at Angelini's.

Was in LA over the weekend and had the opportunity to eat at Angelini's.

We were three and had an early reservation of 5:30pm and were seated on the small patio under heat lamps. Although my friend was not content with the table location, I loved it!

We tried two of the appetizers - lobster salad and grilled quail. Both were good and not overdressed with vinaigrette.

Our mains were: penne al pomodoro-squash tortelli with sage & butter-lasagna.
The penne was standard-sauce not from a can. The stuffing at the tortelli in my opinion was missing an ingredient-perhaps a touch of amaretto. The lasagna was great!

We did not have room for dessert as we enjoyed the delicious breads with our dinner as well as a small plate from the Chef of sliced pork tenderloin & mushrooms sauteed in a light balsamic reduction-delicious!!!

I would recommend!!!!-COLLAPSE

ditto and ditto -- go to Angelini Osteria for superb Italian fare -- especially Nonna's superb Lasagne Verdi.

Avoid Ost Mozza... overpriced, underwhelming and poor service.

Perhaps Hatfields? (I haven't gone to the new venue...)
