I'm a road warrior, electrical projects guy. I eat everywhere all over the country. Recently did three months in Danville. I had read about Gross' Burgers before I got there, and tried them on my second or third day.

Road boys, this has GOT to be the best hamburger in America. You have to get the triple ... and here's why. Each patty is flatter'n' hell with wispy, crispy little flakes sticking out all around the bun. I don't know how they get the patty to stick together, but it takes two or three to feel like yer eatin' something. But they are SOO-PERB! I could only go a couple days before I got to hankerin' for them.

Now, the ex-Marine that owns the joint has some weird rules, but just go with it. No window ordering - you have to call it in first. No lettuce or tomato, I think. Marine paraphernalia everywhere on the walls. But the milkshakes are dee-lish and he has every kind of flavor.

I got to give the Gross burger the 5-Cresent Wrench rating for road guys everywhere. I'll be going back.-COLLAPSE (by sociallyautistic, created December 24, 2009)
