I have been to a place, a small lil itaian resturant in Stuart Fl. and it is a place I hope you will visit, I wandered into this the summer of 2008, now if you have ever ben to stuart in August, you know what a relief finding a cool place to sit down and have a good meal and a cold beverage can be.
I sat down and was greeted by the friendliest, waitresses I have ever met, later I found out that she was actually the owner, looking around you will notice all the memorabilia, on the walls and if you happen to be from Chi town you will feel right at home, have you missed the TRUE Chicago dog, well step up to the authentic hotdog cart and Pam will make it for you ,the fresh poppy seed bun, to the pickle and tomato it is truly the dog from my childhood.
I had the John Hancock Pizza, a feast of meats and peppers on a fantastic Homemade pizza crust tossed to the perfect thickness, baked to perfection, ABSOLUTLY the finest pie outside Chicago.
Living now over two thousand miles away and 7285 feet above sea level, I find myself longing for the pie, and even more so much to my dismay, they now offer Chicago DEEP dish pie, it would be well worth the trip to try.
I haven't a slice of Pussateri's in 4 years now and I still think about it everytime I have some other pizza, from Papa to DiGiorno there is NONE better, perhaps one day I will return or they will be availabe in you local grocery.
