This Bell Blvd. bagel maker has single-handedly elevated the gastronomic reputation of Bayside. Opened more than half a century ago, still kettles its dough to make an old-fashioned bagel—firm and chewy. This newly renovated cafe sells its own smooth, homemade cream cheese in several varieties, as well other home-made salads and spreads.
