good to know

The 3 Drunken Goats is a Spanish Tapas Restaurant. They feature a large selection of tapas and Spanish wines which are displayed in racks around the dining room.

The Three Drunken Goats derives part of its name from the semi-soft artisan goat cheese which is imported from the Mediterranean coast of southern Spain from Jumilla (a small village in the Murcia region). Drunken Goat Cheese is soaked in Doble Pasta wine for 48-72 hours imparting not only additional flavor, but also a vibrant purple color to its smooth rind. The cheese is then aged for an additional 75 days. This process gives the Drunken Goat a sweet, smooth flavor.

It’s been said the Drunken Goat is a very difficult cheese to find, but you can sample it at the Three Drunken Goats Restaurant.

»Three Drunken Goats and Goudas & Vines redux

Looks like Three Drunken Goats has shifted some furniture around and out, and moved back in the metal racks from their Goudas & Vines days to provide gourmet to-go comestibles again. Even some Goudas &Vines bags are scattered here and there. Varieties of cheeses and fruit pastes; pastas; condiments; oils and vinegars; champagnes; chocolates; olives. We had an early dinner at The 3 Drunken Goats on Sunday December 20th at around 5:00. We ofen enjoy the shops and places to eat and dine on Honolulu Avenue and looked forward to a nice meal. As much as the 4 of us had a great time with each others company, all the tapas were average at best. The Paella we all agreed was good, not great, but did enjoy the dish. What dulled the experience further was our waiter and the staff in general. They seemed lifeless, almost annoyed by the presence of the diners, which there were very few of. I would not return and I would not recommend it given the price and the lackluster service.-COLLAPSE (by sb93109, created December 28, 2009)
