good to know

Virtually the only soul food eatery in DC. Owned by DC natives India Wilson and Oji Abbott, who opened Oohhs & Aahhs in January 2004. Abbott received a Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management degree from Stanford University.

Recommendations from Jacquilynne: Favorite meals there include:
Shrimp, lemon pepper wings, turkey chop, short ribs. The fish is not as good a choice.

Excellent choice for sides are the collard greens and the rice with gravy.

quick reviews (2 Reviews)

A second recommendation for Oohhs & Aahhs. I really like their broiled whitefish and collards. I have a big appetite, but for me, a single "one main and two sides" dinner makes two meals. REPLY (49 Replies) (by woodleyparkhound, created January 3, 2010)

In addition to recommendations already posted, the meatloaf is outrageous and the broiled crabcakes are spicy and delicious. Probably my favorite crabcake right now in DC. (by Steve, created October 13, 2009)
