Chateau France in St. Pete. They have a nice website, take a look. Romantic and excellent food. My groom and I dined there the night we were married. I still dream about the foie gras. REPLY (5 Replies) (by Manderley, created April 3, 2011)

The restaurant is lovely, an old victorian house perfect down to the last little detail. Ladies restroom has a claw foot bathtub filled with water and floating candles, nice touch. My favorite meal was served upstairs, in a little dining room that was more like an enclosed porch. Huge windows with the soft light of the street lamps (and the gorgeous full moon), we watched horse-drawn carriages pass on the street below. A chanteuse serenaded us a cappella, in the manner of the great Edith Piaf.

Our meal was perfect, from start to finish. Filet mignon with black truffle sauce; pate de fois gras; perfect wine and champagne list; and grand marnier souffle for dessert.

A perfect dining experience, one which I hope to repeat, and soon.-COLLAPSE
