This is a very casual and friendly place. Highlights of the menu include the sweet, delectable fried chicken over rice, served with stewed nuts and pickled cabbage; the pork chop over rice, highly spiced and masterfully fried; rich, satisfying beef noodle soup; fried fish nuggets with spicy salt; oyster with egg and vegetable; and, for the adventurous, a strong, black, bitter herbal duck soup with hair-thin vermicelli. Cold plates of pressed tofu and marinated seaweed are a good call. Pudding milk tea is a good choice for a drink with your Taiwanese snacks, and they tend to pass out complimentary bowls of sweet, refreshing tea jelly after your meal. Everything here is pleasing, and you have to order pretty extensively to break $10 per person. Items are served on paper plates, and the proprietress will remember you after one visit.
