My husband and I discovered this little gem a few years back, but recently re-discovered it and we are so glad we did, because we are now totally addicted. In the past 2 months we've been at least 8 times. The food is so fresh and the flavors are delightful. Not to be missed IMOP - the Doro Wot, the lamb alitcha (sp?) and the vegetarian platter. The wait staff (Sean and Maryanne) are superb. They create a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere and their knowledge of the food is impressive. And Genet herself is lovely. She never fails to stop by our table to check in on us - it could be because we are there every week! The restaurant also does a good job accommodating kids. Genet makes a delicious spaghetti w/ fresh tomatoes that my son loves, plus a tasty grilled chicken breast and piping hot fresh rolls. If you're in the mood for Ethiopian, look no further. Meals by Genet in Little Ethiopia is an excellent Ethiopian restaurant that also provides highly respected catering services. In fact, catering was Genet Agonafer's primary line of business. Her services are very organized and professional. Her food, although not my top pick (Merkato) in Little Ethiopia, is superb as well. It has been tuned to satisfy a broader range of clientele and tastes.

Originally, the restaurant was opened to provide extended kitchen facilities to support her catering business. It is also available for private parties and events. The décor, although remaining traditional, is more upscale and formal than other Little Ethiopia eateries. I am sure that you and your guests would be pleased overall.
