With all due respect, you'd have to be crazy to drop in at the Ferry Bldg. during the farmers' market for coffee, particularly Blue Bottle. Parking is impossible, and you'll have to wait 15 minutes to half an hour for the coffee. Don't get me wrong: I love the FB farmers' market. Parking is impossible, and you'll have to wait 15 minutes to half an hour for the coffee. Don't get me wrong: I love the FB farmers' market. But this would be at least an hour out of your way for a cup of coffee. Good coffee, to be sure, but still and all a cup of coffee.

If you're insistent on Blue Bottle coffee at the Ferry Buliding, my advice would be to spend some serious time at the farmers' market. Maybe get some oysters at Hog Island, or a shrimp salad sandwich and an Anchor Steam at the Ferry Plaza Seafood bar. Try the Conservatory of Flowers later in the afternoon, when it's more likely to be sunny anyway.

Alternatively, there's a Blue Bottle outlet on the top floor of the MOMA. You can drink your coffee in the sculpture garden on the roof and then see the rest of the museum.

And, if you're insistent on picking up Blue Bottle coffee on your way to GG Park, by all means go to the Mint Plaza location. A lot more convenient if you're driving from SFO to the park, and much less hassle in terms of time and parking.-COLLAPSE
