Food wise - excellent.

Ambience - I love sitting on the patio on a nice suny day or evening, although the patio is very uneven, slanting down. And the indoor area is always stuffy when it's hot - they might not have A/C.

For a cafe style place, the koobideh is really good. And I think they have the best ASH (pronounced OSH) soup of all the Persian restaurants.

My favorite sandwiches are the Kuku (it's like a veggie patty but Persian style and very good with nice spices) and the Chicken Cotlet sandwiches, but don't expect the Cotlet to be a breaded piece of chicken like a cutlet. It's not really breaded, more like ground chicken I think? Anyway, both are very good, but I get it without the mayo. My husband loves the tongue sandwich.

On fridays, they have a really good Persian dish that you cannot find in a lot of Persian restaurants in LA - ab ghoost. It's like a lamb stew with sabzi (greens, radish, onion) and bread that you dip in the lamb stew juice. REALLY tasty. but they run out early a lot on Fridays. So I don't ever try to get it after lunch there.-COLLAPSE
