good to know
A raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine classifies “raw” as keeping all of the ingredients under 118 degrees. Apparently this preserves food’s natural enzymes which catalyze digestions.
The food here is the ultimate in raw cuisine. Everyone should go here once just to see and experience the range of food and the imaginative uses. The “lasagna” is an amazing feat, created with zucchini substituting for the pasta, and sauces made from nuts, substituting for dairy. It’s a great summer place, with a back outdoor space, so you are not on the street. The wine list is fab. Warning: do not go here with a hungry guy—they won’t feel like they had enough to eat...I came with 2 big italian guys, who had just helped me move and they were ready to clobber me!
