We went to Fraiche on Oct 23, 2009, and ordered 2 appetizers and 4 pasta entrees. The appetizers were okay -- nothing special. But the pasta dishes were all completely lame. Mine was the worst of the 4 -- the chicken and pasta in broth. In all honesty, it literally looked and tasted like a bowl of gruel they served in a Siberian Gulag. And the other 3 entrees -- the risotto, the tagliatelle/shrimp, and one other -- were about as bad, maybe slightly more flavorful, which isn't saying much. On top of that, all the dishes were extremely small portions -- which is fine if it's the world's greatest pasta. Actually, considering how bad it all tasted, I kind of wish the portions were smaller. I can't stress enough how disappointing this meal was, especially given the prices. ON a recent Saturday night, I, along with 5 others, went to celebrate 2 birthdays. Food was terrific.. Service was non existent. Management could care less..... 20 minutes to get a diet coke with no ice, which came with ice. Appetizers more than 40 minutes with some entrees coming before the appetizer. Server came to the table to APOLOGIZE THEN CONTINUED TO FAIL THE TABLE. ASKED THE SERVED ABOUT CABERNETS AND SHE SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE, BUT THE SAN GIOVESE WAS SIMILAR!!!!! Overall, food was great but too much trouble.... Maybe after they get their act together and hire a manager who can manage, it would be worth another try..otherwise, I fear wit will become yet another restaurant trivia question.....-COLLAPSE
