»I am Korean and I know good Korean food.
Always frustrated at how crappy Korean restaurants get rave reviews in Now and Eye. No self-respecting Korean would go to a place that charges for kimchi, especially sad kimchi.

Side dishes are unsually fresh (most Korean restaurants seem to think we don't notice). There was only one time when I was not 100%happy with the freshness.
My pick is the kimchi sundubu-beef and pork in kimchi stew with soft soft tofu. Sundubu means "early tofu" like fresh cheese. The bulgogi-either broiled or simmered version-is the best I've had anywhere. The side dishes perfectly compliment the stews by being bright and fresh and slightly sweet to the earthy heat of their dishes. After you're finished, don't forget "dessert": the stone bowl is filled with cool water after the rice is scooped into your bowl at the start of your meal. The rice against the bowl which crisped during cooking is now softened and has a lovely roasty flavour. This is my dessert, roasty rice with water and kimchi or sweet spicy "do-ra-ji". When my brother comes into town from Canmore, Alberta, this is where he wants to go.-COLLAPSE
»Best Korean Place!!!
This is my favourite restaurants of all time!!! They only have 9 items on the menu but I assure you that the Combination Soon Tofu, the Stone Pot Bibimbap, and the Bulgogi (broiled and in soup) are sure winners! With refillable side dishes, this really is the go to place for cheap (I mean $10 with tip and a bulging stomach) and delicious food! We even go here as a family!

The only down side I had with this place is because of an encounter with its once rude owner (an old lady) but I haven't seen here in a long time so that's good! Other than that, it gets full at around 7pm (so there's a short line up) and your clothes will surely smell of a kitchen.
But yes, my favourite! A Must try! Ive gone to the Bloor and Finch locations, both deliver exceptional food. :)-COLLAPSE
