good to know
Located a block south of Forsyth Park, Local 11 Ten is set in the 1950s-era Savannah Bank building. With a contemporary atmosphere,Chef Jeff Rodgers serves a menu with a unique spin on familiar southern flavors. With ingredients such as day boat soft-shell crab to figs and loquats grown just down the street, Local 11 Ten is committed to using regional ingredients to prepare its contemporary, seasonal cuisine, which shows both French and Italian influences. Outdoor seating is available and parking is located behind the restaurant.
Cream-colored exposed brick walls adorned with portraits from Savannah artist, Troy Wandzel, formulate natural textures throughout the space. Stylistic components such as the modern, steel-front doors, opaque and embedded with reed stalks, to the dark concrete floor and bead board ceiling, as well as the wrought-iron drum lampshades complete the artistic expression of the interior design. Intimate, candle-lit tables align the street-front window
The restaurant’s custom-wood community table situated in the center of the dining room comfortably seats eight. Additionally, a semi-private table seats six in the vault room, complete with cork walls, chocolate brown velvet curtains, and an antique brass chandelier in front of the historic bank vault. The sleek bar spans the horizontal dining room creating a social aura throughout the restaurant. Furthermore, the outdoor patio is complete with comfortable wooden tables and umbrellas as well as a quaint lounge area.
