»excellent food, great value

5 stars

Super-delicious! All-you-can-eat. All lacto-vegetarian (and vegan-friendly) fare, but satisfying for all. Fairly healthy options. Quality of food is quite good. Price is very affordable! Excellent choice. (by shruti108, created July 14, 2011)

»great value, okay food

I used to eat here at least once a week. But that was years ago, and the chef they had has moved on (to another ashram??), and the quality of the food now is okay. Not bad at all, but no longer brilliant. No mushrooms, onions, or garlic are used (due to religious reasons) and some of their dishes get their flavor from tons of butter. So, pick and choose, if calories and/or fat are considerations....+READ I used to eat here at least once a week. They have terrific salad ingredients, and it's one of my favorite places to go for salads in all of LA. The menu changes each meal and each day, so it pays to call ahead to see what's being made that day. No religion-related pressure *ever* is put on diners, and the staff are incredibly friendly to one and all. Discounts of a few bucks for students and seniors.-COLLAPSE (by santamonica811, created April 11, 2010)
