»WORST FOOD EVER

We just came back from a weekend in Essex CT, WE had Lunch if you can call it that at the Black seal.
One of the worst Restaurants we have ever been to, Service is great from my observation if you are a regular. Just walk in you get nothing, but I can deal with that, bad food I can't.

I orders the red snapper, It was tuff, it seemed like it had been made earlier in the day and then was just thrown in the pan once someone order it. The rice pilaf with it was also stale. The Garlic sauce covering the fish burned my stomach and was necessary to cover up the fish smell ( fresh fish does not smell).
My Spouse had the French Onion soup that was okay and a Eggplant sandwich what was awful.
For dessert we had the chocolate fudge cake with watery cool whip, This cake was Not home made ,frozen and was forgetful and we did leave it behind. We are both chocoholics and enjoy good chocolate this was not it.
35.10 Dollars for nothing and the place was filthy dust web hanging from the ceiling .
