Shortbread Recipe
Shortbread is easy to make and makes a yummy sweet treat.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 oz butter
- 2 oz caster sugar
- 6 oz plain flour
- Icing sugar for dusting
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat you over to 190c.
- Mix the butter and sugar together until it is smooth.
- Stir in the flour until it becomes a smooth paste. Then turn it out onto a floured surface and gently roll it until it is around 1cm think.
- Cut into rounds or fingers and place on a baking tray. Dust lightly with icing sugar and then place in the fridge for 20 minutes.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 or until the shortbread is pale golden-brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack. Then enjoy!
