Crabby Johns Touchdown Shrimp Recipe
This is out true and tried recipe, great for tailgating. It leaves everyone screaming for more
- 5 pounds~Extra large shrimp-deviened with shell on (White, pink or whatever you can get)
- 1/4 Cup Crabby Johns Extreme Seasoning (preferred)~can subsitute Old Bay
- Equal parts of KC BBQ Sauce, Hot Sauce and butter (Start with 1/2 cup each) more for dipping
- 3-4 Large onions cut into wedges
- 1 Lemon cut into wedges
- Wooden or metal bbq skewers
- Soak wooden skewers for at least 1 hour or longer~(Metal not necessary)
Skewer Shrimp - Generously coat shrimp with seasoning, keep cold until ready to cook
- Fire up your grill to medium heat level
- Put onions in a aluminum pan coated with Extra Vigin Oive Oil, generously coat onions with seasoning.Cook until carmarlized-
- On side burner or on grill, mix KC BBQ Sauce, Hot Sauce and butter,sprinkle seasoning in sauce until blended cook on low or indirect heat, stirring occasionally
- Spray grill with non-stick oil, place shrimp on grill, 3 minutes on one side,using a basting brush, brush shrimp with sauce, flip, baste and cook additional 3 minutes. (Just till shrimp turn pink) Do not over cook shrimp
- To serve, place shrimp on plate, add onions add as much sauce as you would like, dizzle with lemon. Have plenty of paper towel and Enjoy!

I also was a big Old Bay fan. Crabby John has taken his seasoning to a new level. Old Bay is now Old News. Crabby John's Rocks Hard!
I tried this recipe with Old Bay and again with Crabby John's seasoning. The Crabby John's is far superior to Old Bay! I can't wait to try Crabby in all my other dishes I would have used Old Bay in. Good Job, Crabby John!
