Drunken Dogs! (or Drunken Cows!) Recipe

Total Time: 20 minutes | Makes: 20 - 25

It was my father’s favorite. When we had family cook outs, he had two separate BBQ’s…One for the children and one for adults. This was the adult one. Obviously, this came from when times were hard and very similar to now!

INGREDIENTS
  • Lots of Coneys! Need the old fashioned fat ones from the butcher OR 20 Butcher cut marbled steaksaks
  • 2 Cups Royal Crown Bourbon
  • I/2 Cup of Honey
  • 1 Cup Brook's Catsup
  • (1 Root Beer replaces Royal Crown Bourbon for the kids!)
  • 1 Tablespoon of liquid smoke
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Grill Dogs basting frequently with sauce until done. ( About 15 – 20 minutes)
  2. Same for the steaks to your desired degree of rare or done! (About 7 minutes each side for medium)
  3. Nice served with grilled onions and garlic with pork and beans on the side. Enjoy!
