buffalo chicken corndog Recipe
I love corndogs so much we even named our dog “corndog,” which suits her because she is the shape of a corndog. I am always looking to combine and adapt recipes for our tailgating parties and this is what I have come up with…
- 8 pack of cooked chicken/apple sausages
- 1 bottle of KC Masterpiece Buffalo Marinade
- 1 box of cornbread mix such as Jiffy
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
- 2/3 cup flour
- Marinate your sausages with about half of the bottle of KC Masterpiece Buffalo for at least 30 minutes
- Preheat deep fryer to 375 degrees.
- Blend box of cornbread, buttermilk, flour, and blue cheese thoroughly. Pour into a drinking glass.
- Remove sausages, wipe off excess, and dip them in the cornbread mixture one at a time. Fry until done, about 4 minutes. Remove and drain on a paper towel. Roll the dogs in the remaining KC Masterpiece Buffalo sauce just before serving. Allow people to drizzle blue cheese or ranch over their dog and enjoy!
