There isn’t exact ingredient for riceball. So If you like to, you can use any leftover.
When I lived with my sister and brother, one day they took the riceball with which I made to their school. Next day, they asked me to make it again because their friends loved that so much. So I used to make riceball often with different ingredients.Depends on what you add, it can have a variety of taste.
- 2 bowls of cooked rice
- 4 slices of ham
- 1/2 carrot
- 1/4 red & green capsicum
- 1/3 onion
- 1 mushroom
- Salt and sesame seeds
- Chop the veggies and ham finely. The more finely you chop them, the easier it will be to roll into a ball.
- Heat a fry pan over medium heat and add oil.
- Add the onion, carrot and ham until the onion turns clear
- Next, add the capsicums and cooked rice, with salt and sesame seeds to taste.
- Fry the mixture for a further 2 minutes then let it cool for 3 minutes.
- To make the rice balls take one handful of the rice mixture and squeeze it into a golf ball sized ball. If the rice ball falls apart, you may need to squeeze harder or add a small amount of water to the mixture.
