MEMBER RECIPE
Paneer fries Recipe
Tried these as an experiment after making an Indian dish..they’re very good (& fattening & addictive??) ;-)
INGREDIENTS
- Fresh/Cryovac Paneer - 1 lb block (Don't use frozen)
- Oil for deep frying (canola is fine)
- Salt, Indian Chili powder (or Cayenne), Garam Masala
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut the block of paneer into french- fry sized strips ( your choice of thickness)
- Heat oil in a dutch oven/large pot to 350F (I like to use the new laser, non-contact thermometers).
Deep fry until golden and slightly browned. - Remove with slotted spoon and turn onto paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Toss with a few pinches of Garam Masala, Chili powder to taste and salt.
Enjoy!
