According to wikipedia, paneer is a fresh unaged non-melting cheese made by curdling milk with vinegar. You could use some other acidic source like lemon juice to curdle the milk. It is a great source of protein for vegetarian.

Paneer is used in variety of dishes in form of curry or sweets. I will teach you more about paneer dishes in the future posts.

  • cotton or muslin cloth
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Boil the milk
  2. When the milk boils add vinegar
  3. When milk curdles full, turn off the gas and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour mixture on to a cotton/muslin cloth and tie it with a tight knot.
  5. Put some heavyweight to drain remaining water and make paneer firm(for at least 2 hours). You can shape the paneer the way you want.
