A touch of curry and some shallots bring just a hint of fancy to this french fry dipper. Enjoy on a burger, or use for dipping potato tots.
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped shallot (from about 1 medium shallot)
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Heat the oil in a medium frying pan over medium-low heat until shimmering. Add the shallots and curry and cook, stirring often, until the shallots have softened, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the ketchup. Transfer to a bowl and serve with french fries or potato tots
