This is a supersimple cocktail that happens to be supertasty. In fact it’s so simple that it’s hard to screw up even after tossing back a few.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth, such as Carpano Antica
  • Ice
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Place a cocktail glass in the freezer to chill.
  2. Place the gin and vermouth in a cocktail shaker and fill it halfway with ice. Stir vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted. Strain into the chilled glass.

    Quick and easy, but not very complimentary flavors in my opinion. I tried a dash of Angostura and it helped - the maraschino addition (which would make it a Martinez) would be welcome.
