Turkey Basted with Coffee Liqueur Recipe

This is far and away the best turkey recipe I have; I have tried many others but I always return to this one. I got it from www.GourmetKosherCooking.com – amazing website.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 large (20 pounds and up) turkey
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • ½ cup coffee liqueur (I use Starbucks)
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place turkey in large roasting pan and sprinkle with spices.
  3. Roast, uncovered, for ½ hour.
  4. Pour liqueur over turkey, cover, and return to oven. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 hours, basting along the way.
  5. Let sit at least 10 minutes before carving.
