Simple Turkey Chili Recipe

This is simple and delicious!

INGREDIENTS
  • Splash of olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained, rinsed, and mashed.
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Splash of hot sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Place turkey in pot and cook until brown.
  3. Add garlic powder.
  4. Stir in onion and cook until tender.
  5. Add water to pot.
  6. Mix in tomatoes and beans.
  7. Season with chili powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt and pepper. Add hot sauce.
  8. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
