I needed to eat more greens and knowing kale is a great source of many vitamins, etc., I found this to be a great snack or a topping on salads. The taste is unexpected and it is extremely simple to prepare. My husband and daughter love it….so will you.
Cut out the center spine of each kale leaf. Cut the ribbon edges in large bite sized pieces. Toss with 3-5 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes or until crispy looking. Great for a snack, instead of potato chips and lovely sprinkled over salads but don’t let it get soggy with dressing.
- 1Wash kale. Shake out excess water.
- 2In a large bowl, toss with oil and sea salt.
- 3Place on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes, until crispy. Store in an air tight container.
