New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Recipe

New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. This is a crowd pleaser.I made it for the first time and it was a hit,So much so that I feel that I would post it .I love easy recipe’s and this one doesn’t get much easier

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 lbs. Shrimp heads on that gives you the flavors your looking for !
  • 1 stick butter salted or unsalted is OK I can't taste the difference when I made it either way
  • 1/2 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 Tbs Rosemary dried
  • 1 Tbs Oregano dried
  • 1 Tbs Cayenne pepper or to taste I use 2
  • 1 Garlic clove mined
  • 1 Loaf French bread
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350.In a sauce pan melt butter and add olive oil add rosemary ,oregano,cheyenne pepper ,salt and pepper to taste then add garlic. cook for 2 minutes or until garlic is soft.you can add 1 cup of water to get more dipping sauce which I have done before .
  2. Place shrimp in a baking pan,Pour sauce over the shrimp and put into oven cook for 10 minutes .Stir and cook another 10 minutes at that time they should be done depending on the size of your shrimp .Heat french bread and serve in bowls or deep plates. I doubled the recipe and it was enough for four people.

  • This is surely a Northern version of this southern delight. Authentic Nola shrimp should have about 3 times as much butter, Abita beer, tabasco and worcestershire!
