Yogurt Trifle with Pomegranate, Pear, and Dates Recipe
Trade in your tired bowl of cereal for a combination of tart yogurt, juicy pears, sweet dates and honey, and crunchy pomegranate seeds. It’s a simple, inspired breakfast that can be made in 15 minutes or less, and can easily be doubled to serve a brunch crowd. For a fancier presentation, use small glasses for individual servings.

Mr. Food Website has great breakfast (french toast) ideas.
One that has rolled bread with a cheesecake type filling then dipped in cinnamon sugar ...looked pretty good to me!! Hope it was ok to refer to website, just wanted to share the goodies!
I do this quite often with Yoplait Delights Parfait lemon torte that is new and out of this world good and layer with Honey Bunches of oats or granola, fresh bananas, blueberries, fresh pineapple and other fruit that is in season and makes one heck of a great breakfast.
hill..what is your husbands killer french toast?
I make fruit and yogurt parfaits all the time. I always have greek yogurt in the fridge and then just use whatever seasonal fruit I have on hand, sometimes I'll add a little roasted muesli/granola into the layers. It takes about 30seconds longer than making a normal fruit salad and looks lovely, not to mention it's very healthy.
opps, pears, poms & pineapple is what I meant.
Folks yogurt & fresh fruit parfaits are served at McD's!
I'd sub the dates for pears, now in season in my area, and use plain Greek yogurt and serve it with my husbands killer french toast!
My Mom used to make us parfaits for breakfast quite often, actually. We liked to eat them because they looked like ice cream parfaits (and Mom got us to eat some fruit).
Apparently Kate Ramos considers parfait ordinary for breakfast.
I would love to find out what she considers exotic.
"An ordinary breakfast parfait"???? Who, pray tell, considers parfait ordinary for breakfast?
