McClure's Mustard Blue Cheese Lamb and Beef Burgers Recipe
McClure’s Mustard….Considering the spice of their pickles, i was in high hopes that their mustard would be spicy as well but it isnt so i use it mainly in cooking. it adds a nice texture. for the meat- i used a 75/25 lamb to beef ratio. this recipe is a good introduction to lamb for the unexperienced eater…
- 3/4 lb ground lamb
- 1/4 lb lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- McClure's Mustard to taste
- 2 cloves pressed garlic, slightly cooked
- onion powder to taste
- salt, pepper, white pepper, crushed red pepper to taste
- 1 block blue cheese, sliced thin
- 3 brioche buns, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced thin
- combine meat, egg, garlic, mustard and spices in med bowl. mix thoroughly. place in refrigerator for at least a hr or two to allow the meat to set up.
- form meat mixture into patties, heat skillet til water dropped on it sizzles. cook for a few minutes on each side. turn off skillet. wait 5 to 10 minutes. cook til desired temp, adding blue cheese a few minutes before.
- place on brioche with desired amount of sliced red onion. EAT!
