Quick Spicy Bean Soup Recipe

This is great anytime, but especially during chilly weather. It can be as mild or as spicy as you like, by adjusting the amount of hot sauce.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 15-ounce can refried beans (any variety)
  • 1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 1 15-ounce can pinto beans with onion, undrained (or any variety of beans)
  • 1 7-ounce can mild, chopped green chiles
  • 2 cups of beef or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic hot sauce
  • 1 medium potato, peeled and diced
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine all ingredients in a soup pot or large saucepan and mix well. Heat to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
